Our poor Dora (the wild deermouse) had to visit the vet last night. On Sunday we noticed that her ear looked bad and she had been scratching the heck out of it. It turns out the she had cut the ear pretty badly, we think on a metal wire that holds together the straw ball that she plays in. The doc had to gas her, then suture the ear after trimming a bit more away.

The really weird part is that the doc came out and said that Dora is really a boy. We could never see anything so we assumed female but while he/she was under the doc saw the boy parts so our Dora is now Diego. Here’s hoping that he has a speedy recovery.
